About
The process of redesigning and developing a website for Tutonic, an online tutoring service for South African students. I was tasked with creating a new website that would attract new users, improve user engagement, and expand the reach of Tutonic's services.
Why I did itI was excited to take on the challenge of redesigning and developing the Tutonic website because I believe in the importance of education and I wanted to help create a website that would make it easier for students to access the resources they need to succeed. I was also interested in learning more about web design and development, and I thought this project would be a great opportunity to do so.
How I did itThe first step I took was to research the current Tutonic website and identify the areas that needed improvement. I also looked at other online tutoring websites to get ideas for how to make the Tutonic website more user-friendly and engaging. After doing my research, I began to develop the new website. I used HTML and CSS to create the website's structure and layout, and I used JavaScript to add interactive elements. I also created a banner advertisement and a newsletter to promote the website.
Conclusion
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges I faced was creating a website that was both visually appealing and easy to use. I also had to make sure that the website was responsive, meaning that it would look good on all devices. Another challenge I faced was promoting the new website. I created a social media campaign and created an email newsletter to send out to Tutonic's subscribers.
Lessons learnedThis project taught me a lot about web design and development. I learned how to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a website that is both visually appealing and easy to use. I also learned how to promote a website using social media and email marketing.
I also learned a lot about the importance of education. I believe that every student should have access to the resources they need to succeed, and I am proud to have been able to help Tutonic create a website that will make it easier for students to access the tutoring they need.
