While working on a web design project, I was presented with the intriguing challenge of creating a website centered around the concept of the "Big Five." This term, often used in two contexts, refers to either the five largest land mammals in Africa (elephant, lion, leopard, rhinoceros, and buffalo) or the five fundamental personality traits in psychology (openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism). With its inherent dualism, the Big Five offered a fascinating canvas for creative exploration. I embarked on this project with the goal of crafting an immersive web experience that would captivate users regardless of their prior knowledge of the chosen topic. Through a combination of stunning visuals, engaging content, and interactive elements, I aimed to provide a comprehensive and accessible exploration of the Big Five, catering to both casual visitors and passionate enthusiasts. From breathtaking wildlife photography and detailed species descriptions to interactive slides on each species, the website would offer an engaging journey through the diverse facets of the Big Five. By leveraging multimedia storytelling and user-driven experiences, I sought to cultivate a deeper understanding and appreciation for this unique concept, leaving a lasting impression on every visitor.
